ABOUT LIBRARY
The library of Shri Gujarati Samaj B.Ed. College is an enriched resource of academic and non-academic literature. It has been systematically updated the collection of books, journals and magazines right from its foundation. It is a rich source of Textbooks, Reference books, General books, Spiritual books, Books for competitive exams, Educational Magazines, Journals, and Newspapers. It has an Open Access System to reach to the desirable literary resources. It uses library software SQL Oracle which enables library users to search the database by title, author, publication, etc. It also provides facilities of Reading Room and Internet (Wi-Fi) for supporting academic browsing.

FAQs
- How long can I keep the issued book? Can it be renewed?
Answer: Students can borrow books for a period of 07 days. Borrowed books can be renewed once. Your renewal request will not be accepted if the book is heavily overdue or in demand by others.
- Which are the books that can be issued to Library members?
Answer: Books for home lending are issued, but Reference and Rare Books are not issued.
- How do I find a particular book in the Library?
Answer: To find a particular book you can use the Digital Catalogue of Library books with the help of in-charge. Else you can contact the Books Circulation Desk or Dewey Decimal Classification System.
- What are the working hours for the Library?
Answer: The SGS B.Ed. College Library remains open between 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on all working days.
- Can I use the Library card of my friend on his behalf?
Answer: Nobody is allowed to borrow books from the Library on someone else’s card.
- Can I upload my own software or personal files on the Library PCs?
Answer: This is strictly prohibited.
- Can I use the Library terminal to access email and chat?
Answer: Library workstations are intended only for searching the Library Catalogue, Database and access of electronic resources, hence personal use of the same is strictly prohibited.
- Am I allowed to use pencil or marker for notation in books?
Answer: Any form of marking or writing in a book, whether it is with pencil, pen, or marker is not permitted. Folding of corners of book is also prohibited. Anyone vandalizing a book in this way is liable to be charged a fine to cover the cost of book and also may be banned from using Library.
- Are the books arranged subject-wise in the Library?
Answer: Books are arranged on the shelf as per subject classified order (According to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme).
